"I must tell you that life is hard....."
"BUSTER" AND DOROTHY WILLIAMS
Dorothy: I must tell you that life is hard. You do not run to your Mother or Daddy when you have a problem; you don't run to drugs or alcohol to get backbone, you run to the Lord. I reared my children that way. Seems like parents nowadays don't teach their children right from wrong.
Buster: Looks like children run wild now. They all take that old dope stuff. Young men nowadays just don't understand that you have got to work to keep things going. Nothing comes easy, and it seems like they want everything to be easy. We both worked hard all of our lives, but we are still going strong.
Dorothy: There were times in my life when I had to be washing clothes at 12:00 or 1:00 at night and be up and out on the job at 7:30 in the morning. That was what was needed to be done.
Buster: I used to get up at 3:00 a.m. to work on the horse drawn milk truck, but that didn't bother me. I knew we were both doing our fair share, both of us have given 100% of ourselves.
Dorothy: The reason so many women are alone today is because they left God out of the plan. He teaches you to do the right thing. Then some men leave no matter what you do. . . .
Buster: You can drive your man away if you ask too much of him. A man cannot carry a woman on his back.
